Meet Dr. Ossen
Dr. Ossen has been practicing orthodontics since 1992. He received his orthodontic degree from Boston University where he trained under the renowned Dr. Anthony Gianelly, a leader in the field of orthodontics. Dr. Ossen is an assistant professor of orthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center where he has been a faculty teacher of orthodontics since 1994. He is past president of the local state dental society. Dr. Ossen’s treatment philosophy is to achieve the optimal esthetic and functional results in the shortest time possible. He prefers non-extraction treatment and only extracts permanent teeth in about 15% of his cases. The office realizes your time is valuable. We do not mass schedule patients which causes a crowded waiting room and long waits to be seen. We schedule our appointments so that about 95% of the time you will be seen within 5 minutes of your actual scheduled appointment. We adhere to the highest sterilization protocols and we do not recycle brackets.
Dr. Jacklyn Fisher
Dr. Fisher graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2010 and earned an advanced degree certificate in orthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein in 2013. She has been in private practice for over a decade before becoming a partner at Rivertowns Orthodontics.Â
Dr. Fisher grew up in Hastings and was a patient of Dr. Ossen’s as a teenager. After going through orthodontic treatment herself and experiencing the transformation of her smile, she knew she wanted to become an orthodontist. It is her mission to provide her patients the same confidence in their smiles as Dr. Ossen did for her.Â
Dr. Fisher now lives in Irvington with her husband, Alex, and two kids, Lila and Will.Â

Cynthia Sampogna
Cynthia has been with the practice since 1992. She handles the insurance for the office as well as helping at the desk and in the treatment rooms. Her patience and empathy are a real asset to the practice.
Deborah Clark
Deborah has been with the practice since 1995. Her responsibilities include most of the scheduling and accounting for the office. She is a great multi-tasker and very detail oriented which really helps the office run so efficiently.
Carmen Herrera
Carmen has been with the practice since 2011. Her specialty is chair side assisting. Her friendly, soft spoken manner is a big part of the gentle care our patients receive.
Melissa Palacios
Melissa Palacios has been a valued member of our practice for the past two years, bringing with her a wealth of dental experience from previous roles. Her extensive background in dentistry and dedication to patient care make her an invaluable asset to our team.
